Organizations
The Organizations of Vaia keep the city and outlying areas running as a well oiled machine. The logistics, upkeep, and general survival of the Forty-Two million beings of the city are handled by these Eight massive companies. From Twelve to Twelve being on nearly every corner with a hot, inexpensive coffee, overpriced snacks, or a cheap, and likely unhealthy lunch to the Ten Thousand Paths Distribution that handles over a half a billion deliveries a day. These organizations are the life source of Vaia.
Datascape
Connectivity so you can reach the World
During the rise of Vaia, hundreds of competing communications companies dug and installed well over a million miles of connective lines, built massive server hosts, and developed multi-layered information transfer through different micro-ages of technological advancement of data transfer systems. Over the course of it, all of the small players were bought out by a private investor who in their anonymity displayed a well of infinite buying power.
The Datascape, while owned by just one entity, has two to three different names in every district. All legacy providers with varied offers of service and expense. Where the lines are legal, an unprecedented 99.7% of the population is connected in one way or another to the system. A rising conspiracy which all the companies uniformly shake off as simple madman sputter is that the system has eyes on every user, quietly watching, and subtly nudging the course of the city through their feed.
