Runescription Meastry

The Wards Save Us

The many wards of the city are regularly refined and updated by the Meastry, and all education is overseen by the Runescription Meastry who ensure the syllabus is to the standards of the Meta Guardians. The Scribes ensure that city roads are properly marked, and that the ever growing Wall of Vaia is freshly stoned with the proper deterrents.

The Squires learn from the Scribes in a strong master to apprentice study, as the sacred arts of Runescription are passed on one generation to the next. Each Scribe takes on two Squires at any given time, and there are easily half a million more people who desire the life of a Scribe. Those positions being of the highest paid professions in the metropolis.

Those Scribes with their fancy robes always fussing over the smallest decay and imperfections of the art of the walls. Their Squires running back in forth as porters for all the different sizes of chisels and brushes you could think of. As much fun as they are to watch, you can just tell they think they’re better than you, and the life they have when they’re not scrubbing clean those carvings is a spit in the face the truth of the matter.
